Key Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
• Administer respiratory care therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Respond to emergency situations and provide airway management as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Iowa
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on an every-other-weekend schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
