Key Responsibilities
- Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients in accordance with approved medical staff protocols and department policies
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures including intubations and arterial line insertion
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas and maintain patient airways
- Manage mechanical ventilators and monitor patient respiratory status
- Perform pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist clinical experience, including hands-on intubation experience
- Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist state license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience in an acute care or long-term acute care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in hospital environments
