Key Responsibilities
- Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients in accordance with approved medical staff protocols and department policies
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures including intubations and arterial line insertion
- Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilators and maintain artificial airways
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas and perform pulmonary function studies
- Conduct cardiac and pulmonary stress tests and perform arterial blood gas analysis
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist clinical experience, including intubation experience
- Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist state license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience in an acute or long-term acute care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in hospital environments
