Key Responsibilities
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and breathing exercises
Operate and manage mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in medical records
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop and implement patient care plans
Required Qualifications
Active Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Iowa
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
Current BLS certification
Experience with mechanical ventilation and respiratory care equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification
Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Experience with neonatal or pediatric respiratory care
