Key Responsibilities
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including aerosol medications, breathing exercises, and mechanical ventilation
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop and implement patient care plans
Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as required
Required Qualifications
Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Iowa
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC preferred; CRT considered
Current BLS certification
Ability to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Experience with mechanical ventilation and critical care patients
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
