Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a NICU setting, including float coverage as needed
- Assess, treat, and monitor neonatal patients requiring respiratory support
- Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures and document patient care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide advanced airway management as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the specialty
- Active Georgia Respiratory Care License (RRT) required
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a NICU or neonatal respiratory care environment
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilator management and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
- Experience with float pool or multi-unit respiratory therapy coverage
