Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a short-term acute care setting, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with respiratory and neurological diagnostic needs
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment and ventilators in accordance with facility protocols
- Document patient care accurately using Paragon charting system
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage as scheduled
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes across the department
Required Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Respiratory Therapist license in hand at time of submission (TN state license or compact license required; pending licenses not accepted)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP certification preferred (not required)
- Nursery experience preferred and would be beneficial to the department
- Familiarity with Paragon electronic charting system
