Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a CVPICU and Cardiac Stepdown unit setting
- Deliver patient care across assigned units, with floating to different units as needed based on staffing and unit demands
- Work every other weekend as part of the expected schedule, subject to change based on unit needs and approved time off
- Maintain compliance with all facility-specific traveler requirements and unit protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes in a high-acuity pediatric environment
Required Qualifications
- Ohio State Respiratory Therapist license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory/manager references required at time of submittal; at least one reference must hold a manager or supervisor title (charge nurse references may count as only one of the two)
- Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
- Must be prepared to float to different units as required throughout the assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Approximately 2 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Prior experience in a CVPICU, cardiac, or high-acuity pediatric setting
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying unit environments and patient populations
