Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) with rotating weekends and on-call schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with physician orders and department policies and procedures
- Maintain knowledge of various methods of oxygen delivery and associated equipment
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including understanding the purpose and potential side effects of each
- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators and perform associated critical care duties
- Perform airway management and tracheal suctioning as required
- Stand and walk for extended periods; may be exposed to communicable diseases
Required Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist licensure or certification as required by state regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and respiratory therapy equipment
- Experience with mechanical ventilator setup and monitoring
- Ability to perform airway management and tracheal suctioning
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a critical care or acute care setting
- Familiarity with rotating weekend and on-call scheduling environments
