    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments including operation of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal), oximetry and capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, and arterial puncture
    • Perform and interpret 12-Lead EKGs with basic arrhythmia recognition and conduct routine review of patient chest x-rays
    • Assist with procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement; perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
    • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines; perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope
    • Accurately document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges in patient records and charts; communicate patient status during shift-to-shift handoff rounds
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license within the applicable state
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of ventilatory and respiratory care equipment with minimal supervision
    • Ability to perform within the full scope of a professional Respiratory Therapist license
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with moderate complexity laboratory testing procedures including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Experience assisting with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomy placements
    • Familiarity with PleurX catheter drainage and video laryngoscope systems
