Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a pediatric hospital setting, including care for NICU and PICU patients
- Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostic assessments and interventions in accordance with patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care across assigned units
- Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
- Participate in self-scheduling model and adhere to unit scheduling policies
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
- Active Virginia state respiratory therapy license (pending license accepted provided temporary license is obtained before start date; must hold another state license to be eligible for temporary licensure)
- Epic electronic health record experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
- Cardiac PICU experience preferred
