    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Adult Critical Care (RRT / CRT)

    Location

    Charleston, SC

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across ICU and step-down units, including cardiovascular and medical-surgical populations
    • Support care for complex patient populations including post-cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplant, LVAD, ECMO, IABP, Impella, ARDS, septic shock, and pulmonary hypertension cases
    • Operate and monitor advanced mechanical circulatory support and respiratory equipment within established policies and protocols
    • Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
    • May float to the main adult hospital campus as needed, utilizing the same policies, equipment, and charting systems
    • Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June through November)
    Required Qualifications
    • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be considered
    • Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR or ability to quickly adapt to facility charting systems
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a Magnet-designated, teaching, or Level 1 Trauma facility
    • Hands-on experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, or other advanced mechanical circulatory support devices
    • Familiarity with cardiovascular ICU or cardiothoracic surgical patient populations
