    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Rotating

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Rotating Days/Nights (5:30 AM–6:00 PM / 5:30 PM–6:00 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management, ensuring proper patient response and safety
    • Conduct patient assessments, correlate care with patient needs, and monitor responses to respiratory treatments including pharmacological interventions
    • Perform and document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures accurately, reporting results promptly
    • Follow respiratory protocols, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory standards during all procedures
    • Manage ventilator settings and airway maintenance to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety during respiratory support
    • Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures including intubations, insertion of arterial lines, pulmonary function studies, and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
    Required Qualifications
    • 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care required
    • Active New Mexico (NM) Respiratory Therapy license required
    • ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required (must be willing to obtain NRP before or immediately after start if not already held)
    • Pediatric and neonatal experience required
    • Experience with MedHost EMR preferred
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Familiarity with MedHost EMR system
    • Experience providing both inpatient and outpatient cardiopulmonary services
    • Strong documentation and clinical reporting skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
