    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional licensure and with minimal supervision
    • Operate various ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Perform arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, chest physiotherapy, and suctioning via oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods
    • Perform 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines
    • Assist with procedures including bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement; perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
    • Accurately document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges in the patient chart and respiratory care records
    Required Qualifications
    • Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification applicable to the state of Ohio
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Ability to operate and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment and perform equipment self-tests
    • Competency in performing arterial blood gas analysis and interpreting results to assess ventilation efficiency
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with video laryngoscope systems for endotracheal intubation
    • Familiarity with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases
    • Experience with PleurX catheter drainage or similar chest drainage devices
