Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected schedule includes every other weekend and holidays in rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy care within a 36-bed Level 3 NICU, maintaining a therapist-to-unit ratio of 2 therapists per shift during peak volumes
- Perform ventilator management using conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (Drager VN500 and 3100A Oscillators)
- Administer surfactant and Nitric Oxide therapy; operate Vapotherm devices as indicated
- Conduct blood gas acquisition and interpretation
- Attend high-risk deliveries as required
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and NeoNotes EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience; Level 3 NICU experience required (candidates with 3–5 years of Level 2 NICU experience may be considered)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Active and valid state licensure or eligibility to practice in Florida
Preferred Experience / Skills
- STABLE certification preferred; candidates holding this certification will be given priority consideration
- Experience with Nitric Oxide administration and Vapotherm devices
- Ability to critically think and work independently in a fast-paced NICU environment
- Detail-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude
