Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with staff employees
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy coverage within a 36-bed Level 3 NICU, typically alongside one additional therapist during peak volumes
- Perform ventilator management using conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (Drager VN500 and 3100A Oscillators)
- Administer surfactant and nitric oxide therapy using Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide systems and Vapotherms
- Conduct blood gas acquisition and interpretation
- Attend high-risk deliveries as required
- Document and manage patient care using Meditech and NeoNotes EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Minimum of Level 3 NICU experience; candidates with 3–5 years of Level 2 NICU experience may be considered
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and maintain a detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced NICU environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- STABLE certification (candidates with this credential will be given priority consideration)
- Experience with high-frequency oscillatory ventilation and nitric oxide administration
- Familiarity with Meditech and/or NeoNotes EMR platforms
