Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | Every third weekend rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret respiratory tests and procedures to assess and manage patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
- Work autonomously across a variety of clinical settings, including administration of respiratory care protocols
- Manage artificial airways and mechanical ventilation in Level 2 and Level 3 NICU and Special Care Nursery environments
- Administer aerosolized medications and provide oxygen therapy
- Participate in delivery room coverage as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Current CPR (AHA) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience required, with NICU experience required
- Must be certified to manage artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications, and oxygen therapy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Delivery room experience preferred
- Pediatric respiratory therapy experience may be considered in addition to NICU experience
