    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Float Pool (Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call

    Key Responsibilities
    • Float between Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings providing respiratory therapy services
    • Administer and manage a broad range of inhaled medications including bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, Nitric Oxide (iNO), and mucolytics
    • Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation, including weaning, high-pressure alarm response, HFNC, BiPAP, and CPAP
    • Perform airway management procedures including intubation assist, extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
    • Draw and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and collect sputum specimens
    • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment including ventilators, airway clearance systems, and high-flow oxygen devices
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, including Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience
    • Active Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required at time of submission
    • Required certifications: RRT, ACLS, and BLS
    • Proficiency with ventilators including Hamilton G5, Puritan Bennett 980, and Philips Respironics V60
    • Experience with airway clearance systems such as The Vest, CoughAssist, and IPV
    • PA Fingerprints required prior to start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience charting in Epic EMR
    • Familiarity with Optiflow, Lumis Tx, and other high-flow or non-invasive ventilation devices
    • Experience with chest physiotherapy including vest therapy and nebulizer treatments across multiple delivery methods
