Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend / As Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy services across all patient age groups, including ER and critical care settings
- Function independently as the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift, demonstrating strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Provide care in a high-volume acute care environment serving a broad patient population
- Fulfill float, call, and weekend requirements as needed
- Maintain compliance with all required certifications; ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS are required prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification and valid licensure to practice in West Virginia
- Minimum 1–2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be obtained prior to start date
- Experience in emergency room and critical care settings
- Ability to work independently as the only RT on shift
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a critical access hospital environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a professional demeanor
- Comfort managing a diverse patient population spanning all age groups
