    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care including operation of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices as physician prescribed
    • Perform arterial punctures, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal), oximetry and capnography monitoring, and pulmonary function studies
    • Perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes in both emergent and non-emergent situations
    • Assist with respiratory-related procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement
    • Perform 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, chest physiotherapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines
    • Document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges accurately in patient records and charts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active and valid Respiratory Therapist license within the applicable scope of practice
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Ability to operate and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment with minimal supervision
    • Ability to perform endotracheal intubation via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope system
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Familiarity with PleurX catheter drainage procedures
    • Experience with shift-to-shift walking rounds and hands-off communication practices
