    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – PICU / PEDS / Children's ER

    Location

    Allentown, PA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required | No on-call requirement

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services across neonatal and pediatric units, including a 40-bed Level IV NICU, PICU, and Children's ER, floating between units based on facility need
    • Perform and assist with Intubation and Extubation procedures
    • Manage and monitor patients on Bubble CPAP, Nasal CPAP, CPAP, and BIPAP
    • Deliver high-acuity respiratory care to critically ill, premature, and pediatric patients
    • Document patient care accurately using Epic (preferred charting system)
    • Complete all required pre-start compliance activities, including PA Fingerprinting, within required timelines
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU, or 1+ year of PICU experience
    • Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required at time of submission
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
    • PA Fingerprinting (PA Childline) required prior to start; must be completed within one week of contract signing
    • Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a local rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
    • Experience with Epic electronic health records system
    • Prior travel nursing or travel therapy experience welcomed — first-time travelers accepted
