Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required | No on-call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy care in a 40-bed Level IV NICU and pediatric unit, floating between neonatal and pediatrics based on facility need
- Perform and assist with Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP, and BIPAP therapies
- Assist with intubation and perform extubation procedures
- Document patient care and clinical information using Epic (preferred)
- Care for critically ill and extremely premature neonatal and pediatric patients in a high-acuity academic teaching environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required at time of submission
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU, or 1+ year of PICU experience
- PA Fingerprints required prior to start
- Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate differential
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system
