Key Responsibilities

• Perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizer treatments, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation management using Servo vents (U and I models)
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) collection, alert on critical values, and provide vent management recommendations
• Intubate patients as first-line responder and perform bronchoscopies and bedside pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
• Place and manage arterial lines in the ICU setting
• Perform chest physiotherapy (CPT) and manage patients with common disease processes including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancer
• Manage high patient workloads averaging 13–15 patients per shift with approximately 550 minutes of treatment time per shift; ICU assignments may include up to 4 airways per therapist

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required
• Active Georgia state respiratory therapy license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NRP required if assigned to NICU
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with critical care (adult ICU) experience required
• Prior experience in a facility with 300+ beds required
• At least one prior travel contract required
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Must be comfortable with intubation and confident in vent management, ABG interpretation, and critical value recognition

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing arterial lines in an ICU environment
• Experience with Servo ventilators (U and I models)
• Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume respiratory therapy workloads in a large hospital setting
