Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Pediatrics (PEDS) in a hospital setting within the respiratory therapy department. The role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients across various units, including ICU, ER, medical-surgical, and NICU. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and collaborate with a multidiscipline team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Location: The healthcare provider operates hospital-wide services, including ICU, ER, MED-surg, NICU, and more, based at the following address: 100 McGregor St, Manchester, NH 03102.
- Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 330
- Patient Ratios: 30
- Staffing includes unit secretaries and technicians.
- Equipment used: Draeger vents, Hamilton vents V60s, High Flow devices.
- Documentation system: Allscripts Sunrise.
- Scheduling requirements: Flexibility for floating policies.
- Patient population: Adult and Neonatal.
- Required Qualifications:
- Valid CRT or RRT credential through the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).
- NH Respiratory License.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Ability to multitask and interact professionally with patients.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical skills.
- Advanced skills such as procedures on vents, CPAP/BIPAP, chest PT, nebulizers.
- Schedule:
- Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
