Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) position available in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting. This full-time night shift role involves providing respiratory therapy services across various units, including NICU, PICU, emergency department, and adult acute and critical care. The assignment covers a dynamic environment with varied patient needs, requiring a team-oriented approach.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required for NICU; Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting; experience in level 1 trauma and acute care pediatrics and emergency department required; Florida license preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: NICU/PICU experience, cardiothoracic care, team player with excellent communication skills, flexible personality.
  • Additional Information: This position involves coverage for leave, with a need for flexibility in scheduling. The role requires proficiency in operating a variety of respiratory equipment including Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics units, Vapotherm, and EMR documentation. Call requirements of 2 hours for the oncoming shift are part of the schedule.
