Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring pediatric and neonatal experience.

Details

• 217-bed regional health center, Trauma Level VI, Respiratory Therapy department
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Uses V-60/VOCSN/Hamilton, Vapotherm, and Airvo2 equipment
• EHR system is Meditech
• Night shift, 7p-7a
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call or floating requirements

Requirements

• NBRC CRT or RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required
• 1-2 years of experience required
• Neonatal and pediatric experience required
• Iowa license required if applicable
• Must complete Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Skilled in patient assessment, treatment implementation, and management of invasive and non-invasive equipment
• Experience attending high-risk deliveries preferred

• Responsibilities include implementing treatments and therapies, managing respiratory equipment, and supporting high-risk deliveries
• Requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
