Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare organization in Loma Linda, CA, provides essential respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction. This role involves administering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in both general and critical care settings. The selected candidate will possess advanced assessment skills and the ability to deliver targeted respiratory services across various age groups, maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to patient care teams.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program; California Respiratory Care Practitioner License; Registered Respiratory Therapist certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care; Basic Life Support certification; current Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications through an American Heart Association provider training program; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy; ability to troubleshoot patient and machine equipment; strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing blood draws; ability to perform preventative equipment maintenance and calibrations; prior experience in adult hospitals or specialty care units.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include utilizing advanced skills for assessment and application of respiratory care, recording treatment data in medical records, and working effectively under pressure. Floating to adult hospitals on east campus and surgical hospital is required.
