Respiratory Therapist RRT | Janesville, WI
Assignment Overview
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Janesville, WI. This position involves providing respiratory care on general floors with a focus on delivering comprehensive treatment to patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing both invasive and non-invasive ventilation and be able to perform emergency procedures as needed.
Assignment Details
- Assignment Length: 36 hours/week
- Shift Details: 3x12 hour shifts, start time at 1800 to 0630
- Every other weekend and rotating holiday schedule
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapies that aid in treatment, diagnosis, and evaluation of cardiopulmonary status
- Conduct emergency rounds and oxygen saturation checks
- Initiate, monitor, evaluate, and wean ventilation; make parameter recommendations
- Deliver and assess treatment regimes, including medication delivery and oxygen administration
- Educate patients and families on therapies, medications, and equipment
- Ensure proper cleaning, assembly, and maintenance of equipment
- Respond to emergent care situations and assist in resuscitation efforts
- Transport adult patients for intrahospital procedures
- Participate in community education events and self-development activities
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program - education verification required
- WI Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) with The National Board for Respiratory Care
- AHA Provider Level BLS Certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
