Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of ICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a busy hospital respiratory unit.

Details

• 430-bed hospital respiratory therapy unit staffed with approximately 25 respiratory therapists
• Normal floor assignment of 20-25 treatments per round
• Equipment used includes oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and blood gas machines
• Meditech EMR system used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement
• On-call expectation of approximately one 24-hour shift every 5-6 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ICU experience required
• Current RRT credential required
• Current VA state license required if applicable
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience performing nebulizer treatments, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas draws
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference requirements vary by state, with most states requiring one reference and Florida and Missouri requiring two

Additional Information

• Work in a fast-paced respiratory therapy environment as part of a collaborative care team
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
