Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Respiratory Med-Surg position requiring telemetry interpretation skills and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

  • 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit specializing in pulmonary disease care
  • High-acuity unit with complex adult patient population requiring continuous telemetry monitoring
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:30AM, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirement
  • Floating required to similar units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and telemetry experience
  • Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips, with a competency test required on Day 1
  • Mandatory proficiency with Epic EMR with no training or refreshers provided

Additional Information

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
