Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring at least 1 year of recent rehab or med-surg experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting across all 4 connected units
• 65-bed unit with patient ratios of 5-6
• CNAs available on all shifts with 11 hours of unit secretary support daily
• Equipment used includes IV pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps, lifts and transfer equipment, and life vests
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Scheduled shifts are 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, mostly weekends
• No floating required as all units are connected and interchangeable
• Dialysis performed on unit by staff from an outside facility, not unit nurses

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Med-surg experience required with rehab experience a plus
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Facility is a CARF and Joint Commission certified rehabilitation hospital and the only rehab hospital in Western NC
• Facility offers rehabilitation programs for conditions including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and amputation
• Required dress code is navy scrubs with white tops
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Located in Asheville, NC, in the mountains of Western NC with year-round pleasant weather and recreational opportunities
