Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for an inpatient acute rehab unit, requiring CA RN license, BSN, and minimum 2 years inpatient rehab experience.
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation unit at a teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30)
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Epic charting system experience required
- Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if job specifications are met
Requirements
- Active CA RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years inpatient rehab experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
- Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Acute rehab, neuro/stroke unit experience, and CRRN certification preferred
- Must be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19
Additional Information
- Provide care for patients with conditions including CVA, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and post-craniotomy recovery
- Perform skilled nursing tasks such as wound care, tracheostomy management, feeding tube care, and IV therapy
- Conduct fall risk and pressure ulcer assessments and provide patient teaching
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration
- Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager prior to start; no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
