Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Rehabilitation RN in Carlsbad, NM. This travel contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential care to patients in need of rehabilitation services.

**Call required - varies depending on census. Floating required depending on facility need and RN scope: Swing, MedSurg, Stepdown.**

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general rehab nursing duties in collaboration with therapy.
• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Perform a variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
• Fingerprinting for all NM travelers is required.

• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Number of beds in unit: 10
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated; must include in the body of submission.
• 48-hr. guarantees are NOT approved.
