Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Rehabilitation – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 70-day assignment. Patient ratio 1:7. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per contract). May float to long-term acute care or other units to manage med-surg patients.
Highlights:
- Work in a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation facility specializing in stroke, orthopedic surgeries, brain injuries, and debilitated patients requiring comprehensive rehabilitation services
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans
- Access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies, fully equipped therapy rooms, and evidence-based practices
- Daily census of 35 patients across a 48-bed facility with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Emphasis on family involvement, patient education, and transitional care planning to support recovery journeys
- 12-hour orientation with Epic charting system
Requirements:
- Active Texas or Compact RN license required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS
- Epic charting system experience required
- LTAC and charge experience preferred
- Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
- Must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
