Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Rehab RN with an active IL RN license and at least 1 year of rehab, LTAC, or inpatient med/surg experience.

Details

  • Inpatient Rehab unit setting
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • Utilizes skills in respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care/management
  • Provides IV therapy and peripheral line care/management
  • Performs cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in hand
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; Rehab or LTAC experience accepted, inpatient med/surg experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers with 2+ years of experience may be considered
  • Nursys report required at submission, pulled within the last 2 weeks
  • No license actions or hits allowed

Additional Information

  • RTO limited to no more than 3 days, and no RTO permitted during the first or last week of the contract
  • Any block scheduling or special schedule requests must be submitted and discussed prior to offer acceptance
  • Former UCM, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Non-billable orientation modules (2-3 hours) required, varying by profession
