Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) / Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT Must-Have: WA license in hand NICU III or IV level experience Adult ICU experience Must be flexible to float between units Description: The role involves providing respiratory therapy for neonates in a NICU setting. Candidates will need to work nights or days, based on the schedule. Every other weekend work is required. Staff may float between different departments as needed. The expected patient-to-staff ratios will be determined by hospital acuity. All staff are considered variable for the unit, including full-time employees. The manager will strive to keep agency staff on a consistent shift for the contract duration. Special requirements include having NICU level III or IV experience. Candidates should be prepared for the varying needs of the unit. Additional skills required include support for high-risk deliveries and the management of various respiratory procedures. Experience with specific neonatal equipment may be preferred. Candidates must be prepared to commit to working during holidays as required. Failure to follow scheduling requirements may result in termination of the contract.
