The role requires competency in the use of specialized equipment such as the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A. The therapist will work in various units, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best patient care. Responsibilities include managing respiratory support for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients, as well as assisting in high-risk deliveries. The position involves working every other weekend and holiday, with a self-scheduling model in place. Candidates must be comfortable providing treatments such as aerosol therapy, intubation assistance, and CPAP management. Working knowledge of protocols for pulmonary hygiene and respiratory distress syndrome is essential. The role also requires effective communication with healthcare teams and families regarding patient conditions and treatments. Ideal candidates will exhibit a commitment to high-quality care while adapting to the dynamic environment of a children's healthcare setting.
