License: State license required. Certifications: BLS, NRP required. RRT certification required. Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience. Description: Seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU setting. The position requires working night shifts. Candidates will have the option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday shifts will be required. Must be able to work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. The unit utilizes a self-scheduling model. The manager will discuss the scheduling during the interview. Candidates must be competent in the care of neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatrics in an acute care setting. Experience in high-risk deliveries and NICU is essential. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are required for this multidisciplinary team environment. Competency in the use of specific equipment such as the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A is necessary. Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed. Candidates should be prepared for a daily census in an acute care setting.
