Description

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday/Saturday/Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience required License: Vermont RRT License required Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required Must-Have: Ability to work independently with invasive and non-invasive ventilation Ability to draw ABGs and manage airways, including assisting with intubations Experience in performing pulmonary function tests (PFTs) preferred but negotiable Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehab At least 6 months of previous travel experience highly preferred Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) required Description: Ability to work independently with invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage airways, including assisting with intubations. Experience in performing pulmonary function tests (PFTs) preferred but negotiable. Under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy, set up and operate various respiratory care equipment. Utilize equipment in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and illness. Function independently and solve various issues in different patient care areas. Scheduled time off during this assignment must be noted and verified prior to submission. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two blocks if scheduled. Patient population includes pediatric to geriatric patients. Dress code is business casual or personal scrubs of any color. Trauma level is critical access hospital. Travelers must have their own vehicle for this position. Profile must include work history, skills checklist, and required documents. Attendance is crucial; after 3 call-offs, a contract may be terminated due to lack of attendance.
