Job Title: RRT - NICU Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in NICU License: Washington State Respiratory license required Certifications: BLS required; National certifications: RRT, ACLS, NRP, PALS preferred Must-Have: NICU experience; Level IV NICU trained RT willing to work in adult floor and ICU settings Description: Position requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience. Candidates must have Level IV NICU training and be willing to work on adult floors and ICUs. The role involves working with a daily census of 10-15 patients. Ideal candidates must possess expertise in high acuity neonatal care. Experience with NAVA, high-frequency oscillators, or high-frequency jet ventilation is highly preferred. RRTs should be comfortable with a variety of respiratory modalities and procedures. Daily responsibilities include managing ventilators and assisting with critical care interventions. Floating within the hospital is required as needed. Weekend coverage will be based on unit needs and flexibility is necessary. Interdisciplinary collaboration with various services such as radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams is expected. Candidates with experience in handling complex patient diagnoses like transplants, ECMO, and high-risk deliveries are encouraged to apply.
