Description:
This is a 36 hours per week assignment.
Shifts are scheduled for evening and night hours, including 1900-0730, 2300-0730, and 1500-2330.
Every other weekend rotation is included.
There is one on-call shift required every six weeks.
Requires one winter holiday consisting of two block shifts.
Pending WI RCP license is accepted at the time of submittal.
This position requires a minimum of two years as a staff therapist.
Experience with both pediatric and adult patients is preferred.
The therapist will work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient care.
Responsibilities include providing aerosolized medication, volume expansion, airway clearance techniques, and tracheostomy cares.
The therapist will assist with sputum inductions for patients.
Work will also involve non-invasive ventilation, high flow, and mechanical ventilation at both intermediate care and intensive care levels.
Collaboration with physicians, care team leaders, staff nurses, and other caregivers is essential to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for each patient.
Travelers may be required to float as needed within the facility.
Pass/fail testing is required with strict passing criteria including a telemetry exam before starting.
The candidate must achieve 100% identification of lethal rhythms in the adult exam and an 80% or higher passing score.
For the pediatric exam, candidates must also achieve a passing score of 80% or higher.
Failure to meet passing criteria after three attempts may result in cancellation of the assignment.
