Description:
The position requires the respiratory therapist to care for general medicine and critical care patients, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
The respiratory therapist will perform approximately 26-28 treatments per day using an established point system.
Familiarity with ventilators, such as Servo U, Servo i, LTV, as well as ResMed S9 for Bipap and Cpap, and Fisher Paykel for heated high flow is essential.
There is a team lead available during each shift that serves as a resource and does not take an assignment.
Clientists and intensivists are available 24/7.
The therapist will work 12-hour shifts from 0630 to 1900 or 1830 to 0700.
Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.
No call or standby call is required.
Scrubs of any color may be worn, but are not provided.
The first 12 hours include department-specific orientation and training on the charting system used.
