Floating between units is required. Weekends are required, with every other weekend expected. Block scheduling is required. Patient ratios depend on acuity. Special requirements include floor care, emergency response, and rapid response. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. It is a teaching hospital with a total of 629 staffed beds. The daily census includes various patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics. Specific equipment experience is preferred, which includes Draeger, Trilogy, and Resmed. Candidates should have skills in aerosol setup, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and mechanical ventilation weaning. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Submission of references is required during the compliance process. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays. All time spent on modules is considered part of non-billable hours. Module completion is recorded in respective transcripts.
