Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 14:45 - 04:15 Experience: 3 years preferred, with at least 1 year in a large Level 1 Trauma, Academic Medical Center License: CRT required, RRT preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience required, Epic charting experience preferred, Must be 100% Nicotine Free Description: ASAP start date. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. CRT is required; RRT is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred. Out of the 3 years of required experience, at least 1 year must be in a large Level 1 Trauma, Academic Medical Center. First-time travelers are accepted. Level 1 Trauma experience is required. Epic charting experience is preferred. This is a nicotine-free facility. Candidates must be more than 100 miles from the facility. This position requires various respiratory care skills such as BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms. Experience with arterial blood gas interpretation and tracheostomy care/management is necessary. Weaning from mechanical ventilation is part of the responsibilities. Candidates should be able to manage emergency situations and oral/nasal suctioning. The documentation should meet the required standards in a timely manner. This position may involve working with diverse patient diagnoses and interdisciplinary teams.
