Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Akron, OH. This role focuses on acute care for adults, utilizing state-of-the-art technology in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist- Confirm physician orders, assess for appropriateness, and ensure quality patient care
- Notify physician, nurse, and hospital staff of any unusual patient reactions
- Assess, evaluate, and document patient tolerance and response to therapy
- Explain treatment procedures and address patient concerns
- Maintain a safe environment, promote customer satisfaction
- Perform respiratory/pulmonary procedures per department protocol
- Respond to emergencies and assist with CPR
- Set up and maintain equipment; administer medical gases and medications
- Complete billing information for services
- Participate in patient care teams and quality improvement programs
- Contribute to policy and procedure development
- Engage in educational activities for patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Attend in-services and maintain proficiency in respiratory care skills
Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist- Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists
- Valid Ohio RCP license from the State Medical Board of Ohio
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to effectively interact with patient populations while maintaining their self-respect and dignity
