Prior level 2-3 NICU experience, including ventilators.
Pediatric and adult experience preferred.
Description:
The respiratory therapist will perform assessments of patients and clients.
They will plan appropriate treatments based on physicians' orders and evaluations.
Establishing goals, methods of treatments, and determining the patient's potential is essential.
They will set up equipment and administer treatments as ordered, including oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, airway management, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, postural drainage procedures, chest physiotherapy, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, inhalers, and ABGs.
In addition, EKGs will be conducted during off hours as needed.
Collaboration and teamwork are vital, with a focus on having the patients' best interests in mind.
The role involves caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adults, and neonates.
Assignments may vary, including the ER, ICU, and various floors.
Weekend shifts are mandatory, rotating every other weekend, as well as every other holiday.
Technologically, the facility uses EMR systems to document patient care.
All tasks will be handled with integrity, excellence, and quality stewardship.
