Key Responsibilities of the Registered Respiratory Therapist- Deliver respiratory care to adult critical care and emergency department patients
- Perform extubation and assist with intubation
- Manage nasal and oral airway placements and suctioning
- Conduct sputum specimen collection and tracheostomy care/management
- Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including BiPAP, CPAP, and ET Tubes
- Assist in the weaning process from mechanical ventilation
Requirements of the Registered Respiratory Therapist- BLS certification
- RRT License (CRT not acceptable)
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in adult critical care and ER
- Proficient with All Scripts electronic documentation
- Must adhere to COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements, with exemptions allowed
