Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Care Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years, NICU and/or PICU experience required License: Must have the required state license or a compact license Certifications: BCLS, RRT, NRP (preferred), PALS (preferred) Must-Have: Experience in neonatal and pediatric critical care Description: Position in respiratory care requiring a qualified professional. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. No on-call requirements for this position. Clinical staff is not required to float outside of their designated service area. Locals are accepted, but restrictions may apply for certain candidates. Pending licenses may also be accepted. Two requests allowed for time off. Skills required include experience in emergency departments, trauma facilities, NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics. Special equipment used includes servo ventilators and nitric oxide. Mandatory skills include aerosol setup, intubation assistance, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. All candidates must have a proven record of skills in managing high-risk situations. Interdisciplinary support services will be provided. Daily census may vary, and adherence to patient care protocols is essential. Only those who can meet the specified skills and experience will be considered for this role. Compliance with all job requirements is mandatory for selection.
