Description: Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) needed for a busy operational surgery department. This position requires working three night shifts per week, from 19:15 to 06:45, with every third weekend scheduled. The therapist will be required to work the night shift if any team member requests time off. The main patient population includes individuals with COPD and pneumonia. The special procedures unit has all patient beds located on one floor, with a 2-3 bed ICU also on the same floor. Special equipment used includes Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 ventilators. The role will involve working independently and managing time effectively. Candidates should possess skills in adult critical care and be familiar with various respiratory procedures and equipment. Weekend shifts are a requirement for this position. First-time travelers are accepted, and candidates with pending state licenses are also welcome. Candidates must provide proper documentation for any medical exemptions concerning the flu vaccine. All required references and clean license verification must be completed prior to consideration. Candidates may be required to travel up to 100 miles to complete the fit test.
