The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies and procedures. This role includes providing timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities involve assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures. Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas is required. Maintaining airways and managing ventilators is essential. Insertion of arterial lines and intubations may be necessary. Conducting pulmonary function studies and cardiac and pulmonary stress tests is part of the role. Blood gas analysis is also required. Candidates must be able to start within two weeks of the offer.
